Manager Overview

You manage a team. Sales Savant scores every call that team makes and tells you which rep to talk to first.

This guide is the loop most managers settle into — roughly 30 minutes a week, plus a few minutes before each 1:1.

A note on plans. The Action Plan card described below needs the Advanced plan. On Standard it renders blurred behind an "Unlock Advanced" button. Everything else in this guide works on every plan, and the sections are marked so you know which is which.

Monday: read the Action Plan (10 minutes)

Your dashboard opens on the Coaching Command Center. The Action Plan card ranks what needs you this week:

  • Top Priority — the single thing to fix, with the action to take.
  • Critical Coaching — which reps need you most, and the pattern each one keeps repeating.
  • Missed Wins — calls where the buyer was ready and the deal didn't close. Start here; the hard part already happened, so these are your cheapest points.
  • Best Calls — calls worth replicating, with a line on why they worked. Send one to the team.

Advanced plan. Badged Experimental Beta — it's AI-generated and it does get things wrong. When it does, see "Tell us when it's wrong" below.

You're picking one rep and one pattern, not reading everything. If you read nothing else each week, read Critical Coaching.

Monday: scan the numbers (5 minutes)

Above the Action Plan, the Snapshot row carries your team's headline numbers for the period in the toggle — calls per day, closed-on-call rate, and lead and call quality. Change the period toggle to compare against a longer window.

You're looking for movement, not absolute values. A number that dropped this week is a question worth asking; a number that's been flat for a month usually isn't.

Below that, Top Objections ranks what buyers are pushing back on across the team, with the calls behind each one. This is the fastest way to spot something systemic — if half your team hit the same objection this week, that's a team-wide fix, not four separate 1:1s.

Flagged Calls lists calls that tripped a rule on your scorecard. Worth a scan; not worth a deep read every week.

Before each 1:1: open the rep (5 minutes)

Click the rep from the Reps tab. You'll get their own scorecard trend, their action plan, their recent calls, and what's been happening with them.

Come with one specific call and one specific moment. "Your discovery is weak" lands as criticism; "on the Rodriguez call you moved to pricing before asking why now — listen from 8:40" lands as coaching. The call detail page gives you the timestamp, so use it.

Add Coaching Notes on the rep or on a specific call. They persist, so next month you can check whether the thing you asked for actually changed.

Reviewing a call

Open any call from Calls or from a rep's page. The call detail page carries:

  • Buyer Readiness — how close this buyer was to ready.
  • Scorecard — how the call scored against your team's criteria, criterion by criterion.
  • Objections — what the buyer pushed back on, and how the rep handled it.
  • Key Moments and Action Items — the parts worth jumping to, and what was promised.
  • Transcript — the whole thing, searchable.
  • Coaching Notes — yours, on this call.

The Calls tab filters by window, result, rep, stage, and flag — so "show me every call last month that tripped the discovery flag" is two clicks.

Tell us when it's wrong

The AI will misread a call sometimes. The scorecard will reward something you don't care about. Say so — it's the only way it gets better at your team's motion.

  • On a call's scorecard, use the thumbs — Score looks right / Score needs adjustment.
  • On a scorecard itself, use Tune this scorecard in the header and describe the problem in your own words.
  • Anywhere else, use the feedback button at the bottom-right of any page.

You don't have to know whether something is a scorecard problem or an AI problem. Describe what you saw; we'll route it. See Giving Feedback.

What you can and can't reach

Managers are team-scoped. Assigned to two teams, you see both; assigned to one, you see one. A few specific limits:

  • You can manage your team's roster — invite reps, move them between teams, change roles.
  • You can view integrations but not connect or disconnect them. If Zoom needs reconnecting after a token expiry, that's an Owner or Leader.
  • You can't see billing. That's Owner and Leader.
  • Trends (aggregate scorecard and objection pivots across the team) needs the Advanced plan.

If you need visibility across every team rather than your own, that's the Leader role, not Manager — see Managing Your Team.

When things look wrong

A rep's calls aren't appearing. They're probably not linked to the recording integration. Check the roster — a rep added by email won't be matched to their Zoom or Fathom account until someone links them.

Everything stopped at once. That's usually the integration, not the reps. Ask an Owner or Leader to check Settings → Integrations.

Scores feel wrong across the board. That's a scorecard conversation, not a per-call one. Use Tune this scorecard.
